  After turning over the keys and rejecting to sign a blank form for rental bond claim, we got the biggest surprise of our life. Three months after lodging the claim directly to Fair Trading, we were sent a message that the full amount of our rental bond had been paid to DF Johnson. Wow!!

  We spent thousands of dollars to spruce up the property before moving out, but, the DF Johnson property manager (can't remember his name anymore) was not happy at our efforts. This, despite repeatedly showing him pictures of the original condition of the place when we first moved. Nope, he wants everything fixed. We did our best which greatly surprised our neighbours who became our good friends. They kept asking why we had to do all that when the place was really RUBBISH when we moved in. Well......our woes didn't end there.

  DFJ's been looking after my family for years and does their best to help us out. We've rented 3 houses from them over the years, and they've always tried their best to help us out. They always get back to us, keep us updated about what's going on and are always professional. Not sure what the other reviews are on about, but we've never had an issue with these guys and always recommend our friends and family to go through DFJ.

  Definitely the best agency I have ever dealt with. DFJ has managed properties for my family for years and recently sold a couple of them. Both the sales and the rentals departments are great to deal with and have alway helped my parents and me out.

  My family had the worst experience in dealing with this agent. We rented an unkept property in North Rocks some time ago (broken toilet, unpainted walls, ticks infested, rotting laundry cabinets, etc), range hood not working, taps always breaking, severely rusted water heater that water coming out of the tap was creamy to brown in colour, broken doors, and clothesline, among many other things. The house was not maintained at all. Well, our mistake was to agree to renting it and because my parents are such good tenants, we embarked into fixing all the defects at our own expense (replaced broken stuff, bombed the whole place to get rid of the ticks, etc.) Though not perfect, the place became livable and we stayed for nearly 5 years. In between those years, we have notified the agent about leaking roofs but as expected, it was never fixed. Until the time came for us to move out due to a change in family circumstances.
